For those who don’t know January 25th 2024 we sadly lost Daniel Zuckswert the proud owner of Excellent Home Improvement, for over 20 years Dan proudly served the Redding area and has owned Excellent Home Improvement since 2007. We are proud to keep the business in the family as Danial Zuckswert son of Daniel Zuckswert has proudly taken over the business and to this day is continuing to keep Excellent Home Improvement running and providing excellent service to previous and future clients. Danial has 18+ years in construction as well as working side by side with his father since he started the business back in 2007. About previous owner Daniel Zuckswert, owner and lead contractor of Excellent Home Improvement, has lived and worked in the Redding area since moving up from Scotts Valley as a child. Dan graduated from Central Valley High School in June of 1980, landing work with a local roofing company for 4 years.
After spending several years working for local contractors and learning the building trade, Dan started working as a Property Maintenance Supervisor for a local property management company in 1991. His duties included quality control for several on-site managers of approximately 300 different properties, both residential and commercial.
While working there, Dan began taking on larger projects. In April 1994, Dan became a licensed General Contractor and went into business as “Z Construction”,
In the summer of 1999, with the desire to learn another trade extensively, Dan worked with one of the largest local plumbing companies in the local area until 2007. Dan chose to return to business for himself and started Excellent Home Improvement, with the vast knowledge and experience he developed over the years.
Dan’s goal is to always treat his customers’ homes as his own, and help their dream home become a reality that they can live in and admire every day.
